For Subzero, sustainable fishing and sourcing are of the utmost importance. We strive to make sure that our products originate from approved global suppliers that source from approved, monitored fisheries to ensure that fish stocks are kept at sustainable levels.
In order to guarantee sustainability, Subzero has taken steps to ensure that all of the products we supply are supported by procedures and systems that enable complete traceability back to origin.
Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Certified

Within the seafood industry, MSC’s ecolabel is widely regarded as the gold standard for seafood sustainability and traceability.
The blue MSC ecolabel is only applied to wild fish or seafood from fisheries certified to the MSC Fisheries Standard, a scientific measure of sustainable fishing.
MSC’s mission is to protect the future of our oceans by recognising and rewarding efforts to safeguard seafood supplies for the future through sustainable fishing practices.

Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) Certified

The ASC runs the world’s leading certification programme for ensuring responsible seafood farming (Aquaculture). ASC develops and manages strict standards that cover the potential impacts of the farms on the environment, the workers, animal welfare and the surrounding communities.

ASC’s label gives consumers confidence that they are choosing fish and seafood products that are traceable and have been independently certified as farmed with care.

GLOBAL G.A.P. Certified

GLOBALG.A.P. is the internationally recognised standard for farm production. Collaborating with industry experts, producers, and retailers around the world, their goal is safe and sustainable agricultural production to benefit farmers, retailers, and consumers globally.

GLOBALG.A.P. certification covers food safety and traceability, the environment, workers’ health, safety, and welfare, animal welfare, hazard analysis, and critical control points.
